ENGINE 74 | 2010 PIERCE ARROW XT

Engine 74 is our primary response unit for fire responses, motor vehicle accidents, and hazardous materials investigations. Engine 74 will also respond with Aid 74 to medical aid calls. This fire engine carries 750 gallons of water, over 2000 feet of hose, 25 gallons of firefighting foam, pre-plumbed auto extrication equipment, and ground ladders. Our engines are fully equipped to provide BLS level medical care. The engine carries a LifePak12 heart monitor / defibrillator, airway management equipment, portable suction, and vacuum splints.

This unit is staffed by a Driver-Operator, an Officer or Acting Officer, and at least 1 Firefighter / EMT.

This unit was purchased new on a grant from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.

ENGINE 749 | 1992 PIERCE DASH

Engine 749 is our reserve engine used in place of Engine 74 when it is out of service or when there are multiple emergency calls. This unit is fully in-service and available to respond at all times. This engine carries 750 gallons of water, over 2000 feet of fire hose, auto extrication equipment, and is equipped with all BLS medical aid equipment required by Pierce County.

This unit is staffed as needed.

AID 74 | 2016 BRAUN NW FORD E450 AMBULANCE

Aid 74 is our primary aid unit used for all medical aid calls. Aid 74 will also respond with Engine 74 for motor vehicle accidents.  This unit if fully equipped to provide BLS medical care. The aid unit carries a LifePak12 heart monitor / defibrillator, airway management equipment, portable suction, backboards, and vacuum splinting kit. Aid 74 is also certified as a  transport unit for BLS patients when staffing allows.

This unit is staffed by 2 Firefighter / EMTs.

This unit was purchased new on a grant from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians in 2004 and rechassied in 2016 through financing.

AID 749 | 1994 E450 WHEELED COACH

Aid 749 is our reserve aid unit used in place of Aid 74 when it is out of service or when there are multiple emergency calls. This unit is fully in-service and available to respond at all times. The aid unit carries a LifePak12 heart monitor / defibrillator, airway management equipment, portable suction, backboards, and vacuum splinting kit. Aid 749 is also certified as a  transport unit for BLS patients when staffing allows.

This unit is staffed as needed.

This unit was purchased used from Snohomish County Fire Dist. 26.

TENDER 74 | 2001 CUSTOM INTERNATIONAL

Tender 74 is our primary unit used for water supply when no fire hydrants are in the area. Tender 74 carries 2590 gallons of water, 15 gallons of foam, and over 1000 feet of fire hose.

This unit was purchased new on a grant from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.

MARINE 74 | 2010 CUSTOM OUTBOARD

Marine 74 is our primary unit for water rescue response on the Puyallup River. This unit also responds Mutual Aid for water rescue responses on Puget Sound.

This unit is staffed by a Boat Operator, and Water Rescue Technicians.

This unit was purchased new on a grant from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians.

CHIEF 74 | 2021 Ford Police Interceptor – Hybrid

This unit responds to major fire responses, motor vehicle accidents, and advanced medical aid responses by the Fire Chief or designated Duty Officer. It is commonly used as a mobile command post for the incident commander. It is also utilized for administrative errands by the Fire Chief or Designee.

This unit was purchased new from the general budget of the fire district.

These units respond to fire responses, motor vehicle accidents, and advanced medical aid responses. They are commonly used as a mobile command post for the incident commander.

These units are used by Chief 74 and Battalion 74.

Both of theses units were purchased new from the general budget of the fire district.
